Columbia Aged Care is seeking a dedicated Facility Services Manager to join our team at our Chatswood, NSW location within the Care Services department. This full-time position falls under the category of Management and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents and staff. As the Facility Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our facility, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. Your main tasks will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, housekeeping, and security services
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Leading and supervising a team of support staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborating with other departments to address facility-related needs and concerns
- Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and coordinating repairs or improvements as necessary
- Overseeing budgetary matters related to facility services and working to achieve cost-effective solutions
- Ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the facility
- Acting as the primary point of contact for external vendors and contractors involved in facility service projects
- Participating in strategic planning efforts to enhance the overall quality of the facility environment
- Communicating effectively with senior management regarding facility-related developments and initiatives
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in facilities management or a related field is highly desirable.
