Columbia Aged Care Services is looking for a dynamic Educator Lead to drive training and clinical capability across our three NSW residential communities.

About the Role

As the Education Lead, you will step into a highly visible, autonomous specialist role, with a strong focus on clinical mentorship and capability building. Based at our Strathdale Care Centre in Strathfield, you will travel regularly across our locations to provide training and assessment for our staff. 

You will work closely with Facility Managers and Care Managers to coordinate on-site clinical schedules, deliver evidence-based best practice advice, and implement robust training plans aligned with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capability Building: Support onboarding and deliver engaging training and clinical education to all staff to develop knowledge and understanding of their scope of practice in line with the framework of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Facility Partnership: Collaboratively organise, schedule, and execute clinical training sessions tailored to the unique operational needs of each home.
  • Best-Practice Advisory: Provide evidence-based guidance and advice to Managers and Leaders on best practice, clinical risks and improve performance trends.
  • Training & Assessments: Support CPO to design, deliver, and execute robust training plan, competency assessments and evaluations.
  • Mandatory Governance: Oversee the robust tracking, auditing, and reporting of mandatory clinical modules (including SIRS, Medication Management, and Restrictive Practices) to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Managers and Leaders to promote a continuous improvement culture to identify skill gaps through effective training sessions.
  • L&D Analytics: Utilise the Learning Management System (LMS) to extract data-driven insights into training completion rates, addressing skill gaps effectively.

What You'll Bring

  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration with no condition or notation
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122) or equivalent higher educational qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in residential aged care or similar role and industry.
  • A valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly to facilities to deliver localised, face-to-face training.
  • Has unlimited work rights within Australia.
  • Proven experience in a hands-on clinical educator capacity, with a track record of floor-side mentoring and multi-site training plan execution.
  • Exceptional Leadership & Communication: The professional presence and verbal credibility required to confidently advise, influence, and mentor site leaders and frontline staff alike.
  • Compliance Savvy: A strong operational grasp of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) Standards, clinical governance, and aged care funding frameworks (AN-ACC).
