We are looking for a passionate Facility Services Manager with a strong clinical background to take the helm at our Chatswood facility. In this key management role, you will lead and mentor a passionate, multidisciplinary team of clinical, care and hospitality staff, drive active community engagement, and champion strengthened quality standards to ensure exceptional, person-centred care.

Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Lead with compassion as you champion, uphold, and maintain the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, advocate passionately for residents, and uphold their Statement of Rights to deliver meaningful, tailored care and responsive service.
  • Direct smooth, day-to-day operations and administrative performance across the facility, ensuring flawless regulatory compliance, proactive infection controls, and robust documentation systems.
  • Oversee facility budgets and financial sustainability, coordinating the ANACC assessment processes so that resources and funding perfectly match resident care needs.
  • Inspire your skilled workforce and drive a positive workplace culture. Recruit, mentor, and empower a diverse multidisciplinary team across clinical, care, catering, cleaning, administration, and maintenance, cultivating an inclusive, supportive, and accountable environment.
  • Champion a safety-first workplace culture managing WHS risks proactively and maintaining seamless compliance and incident reporting.
  • Engage stakeholders & build community as you serve as a trusted voice for residents, families, and executive management, fostering transparent communication, regular operational reporting, and collaborative team engagement.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing, Health Management, Business Administration, or a related field, equipping you to guide both clinical and operational functions.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in aged care facility management, with a track record of mentoring multidisciplinary teams and creating an engaging, supportive workplace culture.
  • In-depth understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Quality Standards, ANACC funding mechanisms, as well as a sound understanding Fair Work Act 2009, and WHS regulations.
  • Proven capability to blend sound financial management and budget oversight with the seamless coordination of clinical, care, and hotel services.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with residents, families, staff, support services, and executive leadership.
  • Full Australian working rights, a National Police Certificate, NSW Food Handler Certificate, up-to-date immunisations (Flu/COVID-19), and ability to participate in a rotating on-call roster.
