Willowood Village a vibrant aged care facility in Chatswood  is seeking a talented part time weekend Cook to join our hospitality team. In this rewarding role, you'll not only whip up delicious and nutritious meals for our residents, but also supervise our catering team, ensuring everyone enjoys a positive and productive work environment.

About the role: 

  • Craft delicious and nutritious meals following specialized menus and resident dietary needs
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Lead and supervise a team of catering assistants, providing guidance particularly on the weekends
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team spirit
  • Ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal deliveries

About you:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Passionate about creating delicious and healthy meals
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • A genuine empathy for seniors and their dietary needs
  • A positive and team-oriented spirit
  • Previous aged care experience would be an advantage although not essential
